finalzing the project but still've two inquiries:

1-how to make the list of favorites updated in runtime(as we need each tim to close the browser and opne again to see the favorites updated).

2-how to start with a vista gadget using silverlight

:D We've successfully finished integrating the interface with the working code with displaying the title ,description (cleaned from tags) , image ,and link to the web site .

Now we are working on :-

- opening the web page from the image(using the image as a link)

1- we found during research tha some RSS are not after the standard construction in their tags,so they cant be parsed by visual studio,dnt know if we suppose to do the parsing ourselves!

2-in GUI:problem of opening the link from the title was solved,but it wasnt solved for opening the link from the image.
3-design of UI is finished,with its events,but without the animations
4-we've divided the new RSS code into classes and made its input a URI with the output as object of items class(like required from the interface).
5- the clean text code isnt working for the new RSS code so currently checking why
6- we tried a new concept for removing the tags(by using a function from xdocument called Xpath, but so it'll consume more time in writing its code.

1-we finished the base interface of the silverlight, modifying now the controls
2-searching for the problem(no root element) i the rss grabber and in parallel looking for another code for parsing rss into xml

1-tried a new code for rss parsing as an xml,but we faced problems with the same sites that didn't work before,except this time instead of a null exception it gave "no root exception",and currently researching.
2-in GUI: finished background design but without the events handling.
3-problem:can't put a scroll viewer on text block.

1-finished the requirements document according to the given template
2-the program now can read images in its context! :)

1-we reached the code for "carousel"->making elements rotate around each other in silverlight (like the ferris wheel)
2-we reached the code for zooming to elemnts on move over on them
3-we reached the code for rtf to xml converter and currently adjusting it to our main code
4-started in correction in our if else condition in the code(while loading the xml from the rss)

reseacrh over how to convert the rtf as it is in silverlight(didn't reach how)
also waiting for the IIS to make our project a web service(not just a HTML test page)

SilverLight RSS Reader - Project Abstract

Title: SilverLight RSS Reader.
Team: Sparks.
Starting Date: 11/8/08.

Objective of the project:
To develop a graphical RSS reader that allows users to mainly read XML files, embedded RTF and meta-tags blog feed reader.

The project is divided into 2 parts:
First, we will convert syndicated content into a suitable format (eg. XML) depending on the content's type either text or image.
Second, the converted content is read and displayed to the user in a graphical interface using SIlverLight, for the user to easily navigate through the web materials.

Project Duration:
15 Days.

Currently Needed Software:
SilverLight, and Visual Studio 2008
